Baked Mincemeat Pears recipe
Ingredients:
1 can (28 ounces) of pear halves.
1 tablespoon of cornstarch.
1 teaspoon of nutmeg.
1 cup of syrup (drained from the pears).
2 tablespoons of butter.
2 tablespoons of lemon juice.
½ cup of mincemeat.
Directions:
Drain the pear halves, reserving 1 cup of syrup.
In a saucepan, combine the cornstarch and nutmeg; add the syrup; then boil for 1 minute, stirring constantly.
Stir in the butter and lemon juice.
Place the pear halves, cut side up, in a baking dish. Fill the centers with mincemeat.
Pour the nutmeg sauce over all.
Bake for 15 minutes at 350°F (180°C).
Serve warm.
