Glazed Mincemeat Bars recipe
Ingredients:
¾ cup of sugar.
2 medium eggs.
¼ cup of softened butter.
1 ¾ cups of mincemeat.
1 cup of chopped nuts.
1 ½ cups of sifted flour.
½ teaspoon of salt.
1/3 teaspoon of cinnamon.
¼ teaspoon of baking soda.
2 cups of Sifted confectioners sugar.
2 ½ tablespoon of Milk.
1 teaspoon of Grated orange rind.
Directions:
In a bowl, combine the sugar, eggs and butter; beat until creamy.
Add the mincemeat and chopped nuts, mix thoroughly.
Sift together and blend in the flour, salt, cinnamon and baking soda.
Pour a into well greased 13x11x1-inch pan.
Bake at 350°F (180°C) for about 25-30 minutes.
To make the glaze, combine the sugar, milk and orange rind in a bowl; stir until blended and smooth.
Spread over the baked mixture while still warm.
Allow to cool and cut into bars.
